Across the United States, youth are in crisis, with young people reporting unprecedented rates of stress and distress, according to national surveys. In an effort to better understand and begin to address this alarming trend, the Annie E. Casey Foundation partnered with the Office of the U.S. Surgeon General to host a National Youth Mental Health Summit.
The event, held in April 2023, convened young leaders, practitioners, advocates, funders, educators and policymakers from across the country to learn from each other and identify promising strategies to improve the well-being of youth.
Insights and questions from summit attendees inspired a six-part webinar series on youth mental health, which the Casey Foundation produced and released from May 2023 to January 2024.
