John Hodgins leads digital communications strategies — including the Casey Foundation’s website and the KIDS COUNT Data Center — to promote the organization’s mission, expertise and resources. He also guides the development of signature publications.
Prior to assuming this role in 2011, he managed traditional and digital communications to advance the organization’s child welfare portfolios — including Casey Family Services and the Child Welfare Strategy Group.
Hodgins earned a master’s degree in communications management at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Information at Syracuse University, as well as professional certificates in digital marketing and project management from New York University. In 2023, he joined IPR Elevate, a group of senior-level communications leaders, and sits on the editorial board of the Institute for Public Relation’s Digital Media Research Center.
Before joining Casey in 2004, Hodgins led communications efforts at two large human services organizations in Maine: The Opportunity Alliance and Sweetser.
